New York artist Delicate Steve will be performing Friday, March 9 at Strange Matter for a Night of World Music and Dance also featuring Janka Nabay and the Bubu Gang, Rattlemouth, DJ Rattan and DJ Graybeard.

Delicate Steve aka Steve Marion continues to tour with his NJ-band band behind breakthrough 2011 album Wondervisions (Luaka Bop). Recently putting the finishing touches on his followup sophomore album, due out in late May, he and the band performed several dates with Cults and will hit the road once again down to SXSW.

Marion wrote, produced and played all instruments on debut album Wondervisions, an instrumental set that “…slyly eludes generalizations (New York Times).” The set received praise from New York Times, Spin, American Songwriter and and “Butterfly” was recently named one of the best singles of 2011 by NPR. Delicate Steve also toured extensively last year including dates with Battles, Ra Ra Riot, Cut Copy, Akron Family, Fang Island and more.
