New Album from the Southern Belles
October 31, 2012
The Southern Belles, who you may seen playing everywhere around town, mix good old-fashioned honky-tonk music and combine it with psychedelic jam sessions with high energy and hilarity. The group has been playing in and around town for the last 10 years in different conglomerations of bands such as the Milkstains, Good Dog, Bad Noise, the Inflatables, Think?, Silo Effect, Peoples Blues of Richmond and many more.
After what seemed like forever, the group has just released its first album, “Sharp as a Knife,” which was recorded at Sound of Music Studio in Richmond and mastered at Engine Room Studio’s in New York City. “Sharp as a Knife” cuts rights into your senses with sounds that will make you get up and dance. It’s incredibly enjoyable.
The Southern Belles will be playing at Cary Street Cafe on Oct. 31 for free if you want to hear these guys firsthand.
