I’m not usually one for children’s music, but the lovely Hope Harris has just released a new album entitled “Picasso, That’s Who! (And So Can You!)” that’s quite catchy (and educational!). The album takes kids and families through a tuneful celebration of 19th and 20th century visual artists, offering musical mini-lessons in art appreciation and encouraging listeners to pick up a brush and make art.

Hope will celebrate the album’s release with a high-spirited interactive show called “Modern Masters Made Musical” at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 23 at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts.
