Friday Cheers has announced its 2012 line up and holy crap, there are some really good acts on there. Friday Cheers has seriously stepped it up. Dawes AND Alabama Shakes??? Whoa.

Here’s the full season lineup:

May 4 – Black Joe Lewis & the Honeybears, with The Preservation, $5.
May 11 – Carolina Chocolate Drops, with The Inflatables, $5.
May 18-20 – Dominion Riverrock, featuring Galactic, The Travelin’ McCourys featuring Keller Williams and JJ Grey & Mofro, FREE.
May 25– RVA Music Night featuring Richmond bands: Three Sheets to the Wind, The Trillions and Photosynthesizers, $5.
June 1 – Chris Young with Honky Tonk Heroes, $10.
June 8 – ALO with Former Champions, $5.
June 15 – Dawes with Sara Watkins, $5.
June 22 – Alabama Shakes with Robert Ellis, $5.
June 29 – A special evening honoring Ralph White, with proceeds to benefit the James River – Trampled By Turtles, with Goldrush, $10.
