Remember 311? They were all the rage back in 1995 and when anybody mentioned music as being “alternative,” 311 was always mentioned. They’ve had a few moderate successes here and there but kind of faded out of the mainstream – although they do have a very rabid fanbase. They even just released a new album “Universal Pulse” earlier this year, which is actually pretty good. The group will be performing at the National on Wednesday, Nov. 30 and will be playing two full sets. I’m a little put off by the price tag though. The band puts on a great show (I’ve seen them twice), but $40 to see 311 is a bit steep.
