Strange Matter is apparently the place to be the next two nights.

First up, retro psychedelic pop outfit Unknown Mortal Orchestra will be performing Tuesday, Oct. 18 with Canary Oh Canary and Young Adult Fiction. If you haven’t heard of Unknown Mortal Orchestra, check them out. They’d be right at home in Richmond’s underground pop shoegaze rock scene. Very catchy stuff these guys are putting together.

And the very next night (Wednesday, Oct. 19), Strange Matter becomes home to indie rockers Caroline Smith and the Good Night Sleeps, who have a sound that is beautiful elaborate and compelling to listen to. They will be performing with Ghost Lotion and The Snowy Owls.
