Washington’s Carol Bui describes her music as “some kind of rock, pop, afrobeat, shaabi hybrid” and I couldn’t think of a better way to describe it. It’s a mixed collection of great sounds all rolled up into one. Bui is part sweet and part kick your ass. Her music will make you get up and move, whichever way you want to.

She’s fresh from rocking out at SXSW and will be making her way to Richmond in support of her newest album “Red Ship.” She’ll be playing a free show at Sprout on Thursday, March 24 with Tereu Tereu and The Trillions.
