Birds and Dogs Playing Together?

Richmond folk titans Jonathan Vassar and the Speckled Bird have been busy getting material together for a new album before mandolin player (and all-around great guy) Chris Edwards leaves for Portland.

Right now, they’ve begun the Mini Middle March Tour – a 3-city/3-day tour where they play at Clementine Cafe in Harrisonburg on March 11, The Garage in Charlottesville on the 12th and back to Richmond on the 13th at the Firehouse Theatre. Joining them on all three dates are The Dish Dogs of Harrisonburg, and Chris Kasper, coming all the way down from Philadelphia.

Try to make it to one of these shows. This is will be the last time you’ll see Speckled Bird as a whole before one of them moves away.
