I’m taken back to the early 90s whenever I hear Elf Power and now I’m finding out that they’re about to release new self-titled album. Judging from the first single, “Stranger in the Window,” I’m eagerly anticipating what else these guys have up their rock sleeves. I doubt I will be disappointed.

Elf Power will be playing tonight at Strange Matter with another great Richmond band – One Friend.

There will also be a showing of Major Organ and the Adding Machine, a short film based on the self-titled concept album by a fictional supergroup that possibly includes members of The Apples in Stereo, The Olivia Tremor Control, Neutral Milk Hotel, Beulah, Elf Power and Of Montreal.
